According to Google Trends data, Google searches for “cognitive decline” in the United States have increased relative to other more stable queries, whereas searches for “memory loss” and “dementia symptoms” have not.

Methodology: I averaged their ratios with 3 other terms you would expect to remain relatively constant over time (“porridge recipe”, “crab species”, “best microphones”) and plotted the average ratio over time.

I was able to replicate this phenomenon for the United Kingdom.

Not sure if this warrants further investigation.

Debate serves two main purposes:

1. For the individual, the primary purpose is pwning your enemies and showing off.
2. For the collective, its primary purpose is to serve as a mechanism for delusions to be debunked. Not necessarily to establish truth, but to weed out the lies.

I’m proud of this site. I’ve made a few sites in the past and I don’t think any are nearly as good as this one.

I also made my own static site generator for this site in Python, which I may or may not share in the future.
